Timberland Pre-purchase Recon Service
I offer a reconnaissance service that can provide clients with enough information, in a timely manner, to proceed with initial land purchase negotiations. My goal is helping the client decide the general value of the property prior to, or without the need for, a more costly evaluation. The technical information that I can quickly determine about a property includes: verification of reported acreages, ocular estimates of the timber value, water availability, potential sites for home construction, rock quarry potential, possible access road problems, approximate cost to hook up to community utility services, etc.
Although the most effective recons are accomplished by actually visiting a property, I can often provide a client with much information about a property using just aerial photographic interpretation.
I provide aerial photographic interpretation and/or on-the-ground professional evaluation for $60 per hour, plus reasonable travel expenses.
